The rules, plainly written.

By creating an account or using Follwup ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan subscribers.

What Follwup provides

Follwup provides software tools that allow you to create, train, and deploy AI-powered chatbots on your website or digital properties. The Service includes the dashboard, chatbot widget, API, and related features as described on our website.

Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice where possible. We will provide advance notice of significant changes that affect paid plan functionality.

Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance is performed with advance notice where possible. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions beyond our control.

Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@follwup.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including content trained into your chatbots and all conversations your chatbots have with visitors.

One account per person

Accounts are for individual use unless you are on a Business plan with multi-seat access. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.

Plans and pricing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Prices are displayed in USD. All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise us to charge the applicable plan fee.

Free plan

The free plan is provided as-is with usage limits described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify free plan limits with reasonable notice.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months.

Refunds

If you're unsatisfied within the first 7 days of a new paid subscription, email us and we'll issue a full refund. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will retry for up to 7 days. After that, your account will be downgraded to the free plan. Data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to train your chatbots (documents, URLs, text, Q&A pairs) and all data captured through your chatbots (conversations, leads). We claim no ownership over your content.

License to operate

By uploading content to Follwup, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any content you upload to train your chatbot. Don't upload content you don't own or that would violate third-party rights.

You may not use Follwup to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation; generate, distribute, or facilitate illegal content; impersonate others or create deceptive chatbots without clear AI disclosure; send spam or unsolicited communications; scrape or attempt to extract our systems or data; resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission; create chatbots designed to deceive users into believing they are speaking with a human when directly asked; use the Service for high-risk activities including medical diagnosis, legal advice, or financial advice where errors could cause harm.

AI may be wrong

Follwup uses large language models to generate responses. Despite being trained on your content, AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You should not rely on Follwup as the sole source of information for consequential decisions.

Your responsibility for AI output

You are responsible for testing your chatbot before deployment and monitoring its performance. We recommend reviewing conversation logs regularly and adding content to address any inaccuracies you discover.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Follwup's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no warranties about fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted availability.

By you

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. On closure, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

By us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. We will provide notice and opportunity to remedy violations where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. For significant changes, we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
